This is Day 69 of the Positive 100, a countdown to Rare Disease Day 2014 and an exercise in being positive despite it all.
Nourishing is a bit more than simply providing food to eat. It is an action with a hopeful outcome: a full stomach and an enriched spirit.
My theory on cupcakes as therapy has been well documented, and I think it is a theory I will continue to practice. You see, baking isn’t a solitary act. It isn’t just about the science and the hope that something is going to work out. It is about the love you bake in.
And that love nourishes the baker and the eater. The comfort of the actions. The motions. The repetitions. And the comfort of the flavors. The act of eating. And the joy of sharing.
Cupcakes are therapy and the best way to nourish ourselves and our friends.
