This is Day 47 of the Positive 100, a countdown to Rare Disease Day 2014 and an exercise in being positive despite it all.
Peace. Inner peace. Peaceful days. World peace.
This post is about finding peace, mostly because world peace is not something I can conquer on my own, but finding peace is a hectic day is.
I often keep busy. I cook, I design, I knit. When my brain is so full, I start going through facebook and instagram. If I can’t think straight, scrolling is just enough distraction. But it doesn’t leave a lot of time to be peaceful. Restful.
I am not sure I have a lot of wisdom to bestow when it comes to trying to make sure that you find time to be peaceful, because it is something I always struggle with. Maybe all I need is the hypnotic motions of knitting or the muscle memory of the kitchen to be at peace. Or maybe peace is curling up with curious little lady (Cecelia the Cat) at the end of the day.
What I do know is that I need to be mindful. I need to take the time to find peace.
